DBD side channel blower by Atlas Copco is a two-stage device with a single impeller. Ideal for applications requiring limited flow at vacuum levels down to -450 mbar.
Principle of operation:
Atlas Copco DB series side channel blowers operate by transferring kinetic energy through a rotating impeller. The rotor is directly attached to the motor shaft. The rotor is available in a single variant (DBD and DBS models) or double variant (DBDt and DBSt models). This allows (direct drive gearbox) to suck in the pumped medium. It is then compressed in the side channel. DB series blowers can be used to produce both vacuum and compressed air at the capacity and differential pressure necessary for a given process. Available in single-stage (DBS and DBSt) and two-stage (DBD and DBDt) versions.
