DBDt side channel blower by Atlas Copco is a two-stage device with twin impellers. Thanks to that it is allowed to manage high flow rates and higher vacuum levels. They are the most complex models of the series to match demanding applications. The double stage variant increases both the pressure difference and the flow rate of the blower.
Principle of operation:
Atlas Copco DB series side channel blowers operate by transferring kinetic energy through a rotating impeller. The rotor is directly attached to the motor shaft. The rotor is available in a single variant (DBD and DBS models) or double variant (DBDt and DBSt models). This allows (direct drive gearbox) to suck in the pumped medium. It is then compressed in the side channel. DB series blowers can be used to produce both vacuum and compressed air at the capacity and differential pressure necessary for a given process. Available in single-stage (DBS and DBSt) and two-stage (DBD and DBDt) versions.
